I had a young couple come to me for a rental in April 2008 , I asked if they would like to buy home instead of renting for the same payments as rent, the husband said "I'd love to but I don't have my citizenship in Canada." my Reply was "if I could get you a mortgage, Would you consider buying?" his reply was "yes but we have to be out of our place by the end of the month, is that possible?" he replied, "yes, we can look at vacant properties or short term closing." I Received a telephone call form a client from a previous career who asked me to see her and her husband that night to list their investment property, the property was vacant and they needed to sell it as soon as possible.
